This gorgeous RV campground is just over 40 miles due west of Boise. It is located along the Snake River in Wilder, Idaho. Guests will arrive to find a small, family-friendly RV park that includes several full hook-up sites and even five wooden cabins available to rent. Convenient on-base amenities include a daily general store with weekday lunch café & barbershop/salon, a nightly bar & grill, laundry facility, playground, chapel, gym, picnic area, and more. Gowen Field RV Park has been providing a convenient, secure, and economical FamCamp option for current and former military members since 2011. It’s been a pleasure to serve you over the years, and we look forward to continuing business with you.
The mission of Idaho National Guard MWR Program is to provide Morale, Welfare, and Recreation programs and services, in conjunction with family programs, supporting the readiness and resilience of the Idaho National Guard, service members, families and DoD retirees. As the sole means of funding to accomplish our mission, MWR operates multiple businesses on Gowen Field, including the RV Park. Revenue from these businesses enables us to provide essential services in a wide variety of programs.
As with so many industries, MWR feels the economic impact of continued increases in costs of doing business and costs of providing services. In addition to refining cost-saving actions, we realized the need to re-evaluate our resources, specifically an assessment of prices, which have long been far below market values. As a result, rates are adjusting as indicated below.
While we understand this adjustment may seem significant, we wish to emphasize this is the first increase in over ten years! The new rates are more market consistent but still roughly 25% below nearby facilities. We are confident you’ll find the value of our Park and amenities to yet be very reasonable, and you’ll continue to enjoy the comfort and peace of mind that come with the safety and security of our on-base location and excellent service. Again, we look forward to continuing business together.

Enjoy the modern conveniences of civilization like wifi and cell reception, but still get the night sky rejuvenation and closeness to Joshua Tree National Park. JT Sportsman's Club RV Park is a short 7 block walk to the Saturday Organic Farmers Market and the center of Joshua Tree and the cafes and shops. Space available for up to 70 RVs or campers with several pull-throughs, Laundromat, and Free WIFI. Our guests can enjoy the amenities of the adjacent county park including Basketball, Baseball, Tennis, Handball, Skateboard park, and playground.
10/01/2021 COVID UPDATE
Restaurants, bars, retail stores, theaters, hotels, and entertainment centers may return to usual operations — meaning no capacity limitations and no requirements for social distancing.
Some minor restrictions will remain in place. For example, while fully vaccinated individuals don’t need to wear face coverings in most indoor and outdoor settings, they are still being required to wear a mask on planes, buses, trains, airports, and transportation stations.
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals will be required to wear facial coverings when in public.
